ONE SUMMER DAY
Short Documentary
Every Summer, Udane travels together with her dad through the Spanish Basque Country to perform stone lifting – a traditional sport in the region. Udane has been trained by her dad since the age of 8 to follow their family tradition. As one of the few female athletes in the field, she also represents a new generation of stone lifters.
One summer day follows the journey of daughter and father as they travel across the mountainous land of the Basque region, performing at a crowded festival of a small town and the main square of a city suburb. As we ride along with them, we explore the unique relationship between Udane and her Dad through their common passion.
